Indian Trail , NC Real Estate Search For Homes
In the town of Indian Trail, the atmosphere is one of quiet, slower pace family living. It is a slice of Americana: a place of community meetings, Friday night football and weekend barbecues…where slow and steady residential growth complements the quality of living. About 14,000 residents currently enjoy its quaint serenity. The town is located in Union County, less than 15 miles southwest of Charlotte, near Interstate 485, State Route 1009 and the Union/Mecklenburg County border. Neighboring communities include Lake Park, Stallings, Hemby Bridge and Monroe.

Indian Trail is a convenient commute to Charlotte. The majority of the local community workforce is employed in retail, education, health and social services and manufacturing. There are also a few working farms just outside the city

limits. New healthcare options came to Indian Trail in 2005 with the opening of the Union West Medical Plaza. Public education consists of four elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools. Private schooling is available through Lake Park Academy and Metrolina Christian Academy.

Old-fashioned community recreation is popular in Indian Trail. The annual Fourth of July and Christmas parades are among the most popular in the region and draw many residents and visitors alike. The Union County Parks and Recreation manage the local parks where picnics, softball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, soccer and youth football are enjoyed. With three public golf courses and several more semi-private and private clubs, Union County is a golfer’s haven.

There are a number of real estate options available in Indian Trail. In recent years, several subdivision developments have been constructed in and around the town as the Charlotte metro area continues to draw families from around the country. Single-family detached homes for sale, estate properties, condominiums, townhouses and land lots are available at prices below the regional average.
